Doha-based Qatar Exchange (QE) broke out of the range between 7,000 and 7,100 points it has been stuck for the last week and jumped 2.66%, closing at 7,296.56 points, supported by higher trading volumes. Banks in particular lifted the DSM20 Index. Commercial Bank of Qatar (CBQ) led the sector by gaining 4.77%. CBQ closed at QR82.10. Doha Bank extended its previous advanced and finished at QR48.20 (up 3.97%). Investors primarily sold General Insurance (off 4.03% at QR52.10).
