The Manama-based stock exchange BSE could not outperform most of the GCC markets. The Bahrain All Share Index closed 0.62% higher at 1,626.74 points. Salam Bank posted the largest gain, closing 5.2% higher. Since the start of 2009, Bahrain's lead index lost 9.25%.
